Nursery Manager

An extremely rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the leading private childcare providers in Aberdeen. This is a positively challenging position which will draw on all of your experiences to fulfil all areas of the job role. A full time, permanent post which attracts a salary of up to £25,000 dependant on qualifications and experience.

The Role

Some of your responsibilites will include:

• Providing effective leadership and management in line with all statutory requirements; you will be fully

• Full responsibility for the day to day financial operations of the nursery, to meet the occupancy and revenue

• To deliver childcare in a way that meets parents' expectations and works in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times.

The Person

• You will have excellent experience of managing an established staff team with the ability to lead and inspire staff at all levels.

• You will have a proven track record of having built strong working partnerships with parents and stakeholders. The suitable person for the role will be expected to roll out strong parent partnership initiatives at the nursery with a focus on providing uncompromising customer services and satisfaction.

• You will be someone who is dedicated to delivering excellent standards of care and education, developing an excellent reputation within the local community.

• You will have a genuine enthusiasm for training and development of people and the ability to develop excellent working relationships with the staff team.

Person Specification

Minimum 2 years Nursery Management Experience
Desirable - BA Childhood Practice or Equivalent
Required - CCLD Level 4 or equivalent
Working Knowledge of Early Years National Care Standards, HMIe Quality Indicators, Child at the Centre,
   Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three.
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
Good time management, with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
Financial management experience; ability to work within a budget
